Are you passionate about music and have experience in retail management? Flying Nun Records is looking for a new store manager for our Auckland location!
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hands-on, full time position managing our record store and working closely with the whole team. Exact days and hours to be fully confirmed based on the applicant.

- Overseeing store operations, including stock ordering, inventory management, managing store budget and fulfilling online orders

- Creating a welcoming and memorable experience for our customers
- Scheduling and leading the K Road retail team
- Coordinating with our other store locations on shared responsibilities, like managing the Flying Nun online store and back-end operations
- Maintaining the look and feel of our space
- Helping out with occasional social media and in-store events
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
If you bring some of the following experience, we’d love to hear from you:
- A background in record retail or music industry experience—bonus points if you’re familiar with Flying Nun and our artists
- Experience in retail and management
- Strong computer and online skills (Shopify, Google Docs/Sheets, Slack, etc.)
- A strong eye for detail and problem solving skills
- Experience in social media or promotions
- Small event planning or management experience
- Coordinating with our other store locations on shared responsibilities, like managing the Flying Nun online store and back-end operations
- Maintaining the look and feel of our space
