TĀMAKI MAKAURAU / AUCKLAND
Saturday 20 April — 10am - 5:30 pm (with music from 12pm)
202 Karangahape Road, Auckland
Join us at our Tāmaki Makaurau store in the heart of Karangahape Road for a day packed full of live music, special merch sales, secondhand vinyl and more hidden treasures. We'll be joined by a fantastic lineup of local favourites — Awning, Green Grove, Mammalien, Dick Move and Womb — playing in our basement from 12pm.
Awning — Awning began as a home recording project by Tāmaki Makaurau based musician Christian Dimick. In the last few years the project has evolved with friends joining the line up and contributing to the song writing process. The group has recently released 'Gold Star EP' a collection of 3 songs that bounces between emotive indie, folk and shoegaze.
Green Grove — Green Grove is the musical project of Durham Fenwick. Serving as a vessel for musical/creative exploration, the nature of Green Grove's sound remains transient, with recurring nods to library, ambient and lounge music.
Mammalian — Psychedelic, folk-tinged and fluid, Mammalien makes music for people who like music, and want to spend the little time we have left together listening to it. Backed by world class band The Fammalien, you're sure to be delighted and surprised in equal measure.
Womb — Womb is siblings Cello, Haz, and Georgette. They are all cancer risings.
Dick Move — Dick Move spit out short sharp hot takes that call to the increasingly messed up world around them. Notorious already for their pumping live shows, Dick Move’s catalogue of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it punk anthems are cutting, confronting, empowering and dripping with brash cheekiness and political angst.
Set times TBA
