Flying Nun stalwarts and musical masters The Chills have a wildly busy August ahead of them with shows, a festival and a documentary out on DVD. The Others Way Festival 2019 has been prepared and bedazzled with a lineup stacking up to more than 40 acts, with The Chills no doubt a major draw for festival goers on August 30.
In just two weeks time Martin Phillipps heads West for a huge weekend across August 10 and 11 in Australia. Melbourne and Sydney folks will be treated to a solo performance of The Chills iconic sound at The Toff In Town and The Lansdowne, respectively.
The Dunedin legends have filled up their schedule in the weeks leading up to The Others Way too - they play with Aussie alt-pop powerhouse and eyebrow-raiser Kirin J Callinan in Ōtepoti on August 24, then tour up the South Island to Christchurch for a headline show at Space Academy August 29.
And all in the same month, The Chills: The Triumph & Tragedy Of Martin Phillipps is coming out on DVD on August 8. If you haven’t managed to catch the documentary in cinemas, get your mitts on a physical copy that you can watch as many times as you like and enjoy with significantly cheaper popcorn.
