Bleeding Star are a young Te Whanganui-a-Tara band named after a particular song and album released by a Ōtautahi band via Flying Nun Records, in 1993. Yep, I'm sure you guessed the original band. They were named after a rather famous French existentialist. Anyway, Bleeding Star's music certainly has traces of their namesakes song and album, but with their own refreshing take.
