Today deepState, the musical project of Auckland musician Jessica Morgan, has shared a single from her upcoming EP: MMXXI The Remixes. Check out Watching The Sky (Liam K. Swiggs Remix) below:
Speaking about the remix, Swiggs commented that "in mind I really wanted to make a remix that captured the original emotion and elements of the song with a bit of a drawn out 90’s BFC 160 twist. [...] It's something that you can get entranced in, with stare out the window and day dream kinda feels. I totally enjoyed the mahi on this one, it's such a cool number from Jess to rework and while I’ll admit it’s a bit of a longburner but you know that’s how we do it in Redwood.”
The EP will feature remixes, edits and reworks from Dbldbl, Van Staden & Böhm, Sonya Waters (avoid! avoid!), Trapjaw Kelpie, Baby Zionov, Liam K Swiggs and Grecco Romank. It comes out on June 17th via Sunreturn.
