Since songwriter Finn Dalbeth moved from Auckland to Montreal and formed Dresser, the band have been active in the city's indie scene. Their debut album, Seventeen Blocks And Then Some, captures the band's sound at a time when their live energy was at a peak. Take a listen here:
While a long way from these shores, lead single Bystand has still been gaining student radio airplay here in Aotearoa. The song explores a "common moral dilemma faced by many an urbanite: to see and not to act." Its video features an hypnotic 13-second animation on loop, created by Liam Hamilton:
An international tour may be out of the question right now but hopefully it's not too long before we can see the band live in New Zealand!
