Best Bets' new single Whataworld is "an earworm with circular riffs and catchy melodies, humorously anxious lyrics and impeccable guitar heroics building to a crescendo before finally tumbling down." Certainly befitting of our current times. Check it out here:
It is the second single from the Rangiora rock 'n' rollers' debut album On An Unhistoric Night, which is set for release in April 2022 via Meritorio Records in the US, UK & EU and Melted Ice Cream here in New Zealand and the rest of the world. Featuring Olly Crawford-Ellis and James Harding (Transistors), Matt Phimmavanh and Joe Sampson (Salad Boys, T54, The Dance Asthmatics), this is sure to be a helluva record.
Whataworld follows the first single Crystal Mausoleum, which comments on "the hubris of humans’ drive to reach lofty heights for purely selfish reasons."
Look out for On An Unhistoric Night by Best Bets, out next year on April 15th.
