Dragon - Scented Gardens For The Blind

It was not only in Brittany that progressive rock bands went under the radar in the 1970s. This was the case with the New Zealand quintet Dragon, born in 1972 in Auckland. Author of two albums released by Vertigo who soon after this album moved to Australia and had success with the 1970s hits: April Sun in Cuba and Are You Old Enough.

But let's come back to this second album Scented Gardens For The Blind" published for the first time in 1975 and today emerged from the shadows by the Replica and Musea labels. Note that from the first title, they try to get out of the shackles of progressive pop with Ivan Thomson's keyboards which push the combo to venture towards very English lands that the Zombies then Argent knew how to borrow.
