This weeks session is by Rachel Andie. Regulars may be familiar with Rachel for reasons other than her music (clue, she works at the Nun). But first and foremost she is an excellent artist and musician in her own right - one who has also previously appeared on this Spectre Collective WWTT? session.
Being raised between the US and Japan (Philadelphia/Nagano) – her music reflects her background as a Japanese American; with its uniquely ethereal style and spacious sound - as heard on this session. More recently, Rachel has embedded herself in the Aotearoa music scene playing woodwinds, guitar, percussion, and drums and more in The Soaked Oats, Wiri Donna, Ha The Unclear, and more. Rachel is supporting the Vera Ellen 'Ideal Home Noise' Wellington album release show (15th April), before heading off to tour in the US for a few months.
