Watch the latest in our music video showcase series, What Was That Thing? Here we have Night Lunch who performed their song, 'Case Of The Mondays But On Sunday' live at the Flying Nun Records shop here in Newtown, Wellington.
Night Lunch are an Ōtepoti (Dunedin) based band that fill every corner of any room with just two instruments; drums, a double stringed diddley bow. Liam Hoffman takes care of business on the drums and Liam Clune is behind his home-made diddly bow.
Their live performances, like this What Was That Thing? video, are high intensity, bottom-end, fuzzed out experiences and often feature both lyrics and banter that is actually entertaining.
At 4:35 Liam (Hoffman) yells: “Yeah!” – exactly what I said at the same time, in the same tone. So, the answer could be:
1 – Telepathy
2 – An objectively f @ + 7ing brilliant performance.
I don’t believe in telepathy.
Here it says that you are “a band based in Ōtepoti (Dunedin)”: this must be intended AFTER you decided to leave Mars and join us on our little planet. You’re welcome – oooh, so much welcome.
You have my full attention. Greetings from Italy ( PS: I don’t need a reply :D )
