Femme-punk trailblazers and exemplary figures of the Riot Grrrl movement, Bikini Kill, have announced their first ever show in Aotearoa - playing a headline, all-ages show at Tāmaki Makaurau's Powerstation on the 15th of March 2023.
Bikini Kill exploded onto the scene in 1990 in Olympia, Washington, quickly amplifying their unapologetic ethos, high energy and empowering lyricism across the globe, liberating feminist voices through music and through their initiation of Riot Grrrl. Since reuniting in 2019, they have continued to resonate amongst sold out shows around the globe.
Joining them for a one-off rejoining are legendary Auckland femme icons Fake Purr, made up of local music icons including Stella Corkery from Flying Nun alumni band Queen Meanie Puss.
