Edward Castelow has dropped the moniker and dropped a new record. This is Mirth:
Castelow, who wrote the album last year while in lockdown, drew on contemporaries Herriot Row, Aldous Harding and Air to create its sound. He jumped on RNZ last week to talk about it, play some tunes and also an Aldous Harding cover. It's well worth the listen! -> Here.
If you liked the tunes on RNZ, you can catch the "wee shino" - a.k.a The Mirth Album Release Show - live at Whammy Backroom on April 9th - Tickets from Banished Music. We're hoping the highest of hopes that Covid doesn't get in the way of this one going ahead!
