Almost a year to the day of the beginning of New Zealand's COVID-19 shrouded way of life, Robert Scott and Dallas Henley share their collaborative 14-track album Level 4.
Robert Scott, the great musician from the south, frontman of The Bats, the centre point of The Clean, worked with multi-instrumentalist Dallas Henley on the album from March until June 2020. Recorded "on a Samsung" Scott and Henley's songs try to unpack the anxiety and contemporary concerns of the lockdown life. With tracks like 'No Flights' and 'Stay Home' getting straight to the point, perhaps we can use this album to coach us through our current woes.
CD editions of Level 4 [with hand-printed sleeves] are available strictly via Pea Sea Art in Port Chalmers, Dunedin (art gallery run by Henley and Scott).
