Newtown Wellington's favourite sons Dartz have just dropped their own tribute to both the Dumpling Houses of Dominion Rd (Auckland) and our very own musical treasure Don McGlashan (who also recently released the excellent album Bright November Morning).
The new tune is called 'Dominion Road (Dumpling House)'. It is a grunty rocking punk homage to The Mutton Birds classic, enhanced by a culinary component. Clearly, the tune also has the Don McGlashan stamp of approval. In the video the Don even joins them for a Dumpling House feed. Looks tasty.
Naturally, the rest of the video features a series of succulent dumpling visits, some high-tech gratuitous slow motion noodle eating shots (good work Sports Team), a sad hungry dog and the usual selection of big-budget production special effects. All the things we've come to enjoy from the Dartz posse.
