Skymning, Theo the Dog and Raiden Freeman
'S.O.T.S' is a rap-leaning ballad of passionate conviction, with Raiden Freeman (AKA Jack Mells)' autonomous, babbling vocal deliveries serving something utterly unique amongst the song's warm, sparkly production.
Teaming up with fellow musicians Welcomer (Miles Sutton) and Skymning (Asher Lee) as the ultimate trio, the song was written in wintertime, a few months after Sutton sent some musical parts over to Mells, jokingly suggesting they "make the song of the summer". The overcast air of the cellphone-shot music video, shot by Miles Sutton, provides a stark contrast to the song's name, as the trio walk around Te Whanganui-A-Tara's windswept hills with Theo the dog, and crouch in construction-filled alleyways with fellow local musicians and fans.
