After a disappointing Covid-19 related cancellation earlier this year, Eyegum Music Collective are stoked to announce their return in sunny February, for two and half days of music, art, poetry and performance in a stunning "verdant idyll, surrounded by bush, birds and new friends" - a secret location outside of Whanganui.
"After the disappointment of having to cancel the event this last summer due to COVID-19, we are excited to be back for 2023. We have curated an eclectic and exciting programme of up-and-coming and established independent artists from all around Aotearoa, and from further afield. Even with a full summer circuit ahead and the return of international acts, we believe that our little festival offers something completely unique for festival goers." - Sophie Scott-Maunder, Co-curator, Welcome to Nowhere Festival
And it sure does sound amazing; whether you're dancing amongst the trees, taking a dip in the swimming hole or absorbing yourself in poetry and art, there's no doubt that it will be beautiful way to wrap up the summer. Although there's no whisper of who might be on the lineup just yet, we have an inkling that based on previous bills, it will be stacked.
