Watch Ludus perform Moving Places live, as part of the Flying Nun video showcase series, What Was That Thing? Filmed at the Flying Nun shop.
Ludus is a Whanganui via Wellington (Aotearoa NZ) electronic music artist who released a low key band camp and cassette only release called Two of the Same. The release was on Wellington ‘Ambient’ record label Strange Behaviour (who also have a Radio Active radio show). While the album is great, it is a is bit tricky to find online - look for the Strange Behaviour Bandcamp page. The cassette is all sold out.
Anyway, Ludus plays live regularly around Wellington, performing with just a Synthsrom Deluge - another local product. The album she has produced is expansive, understated, elegant, graceful, lush, naturalistic, stately and a really enjoyable listen. There are lots of nice naturalistic field recording sounds as well as sumptuous, soft and spongy electronic tones.
