Dick Move was formed in the depths of Karangahape Road's Whammy! Bar as a transformation of political discussions into musical action. Now, this action has been formalised into their debut album Chop, which is to be released on yellow vinyl via 1:12 Records.
The post really says it all. What it doesn't say though is that the band is touring the South Island this October! They were forced to cancel a previously arranged tour south in August, but have not missed the opportunity to take the movement to the mainland. Dates:
Saturday 17th October — Auckland, Whammy Bar
Friday 23rd October — Christchurch, Ōtautahi Punkfest
Sunday 25th October — Christchurch, Darkroom
Wednesday 28th October — Nelson, Wakatu Hotel
Thursday 29th October — Blenheim, The Plant
Friday 30th October — Dunedin, Dive
Sat 31st October — Oamaru, Settler Theatre
PLUS, on top of all that, the latest single off Chop, Femoids Attack, is out today:
Chop is out October 16th via 1:12 Records. You can pre-order the album on their bandcamp page.
